About South Side Spaces
Formed in 2004, South Side Spaces is a property management company in south St. Louis. Our team specializes in historic renovations that preserve the original character of the city’s buildings while providing modern amenities. Most of our projects are buildings that have sat vacant for five years or more prior to renovation. Some have been unoccupied for decades. These are often buildings on the verge of being lost. Our preservation and community development efforts have been recognized by local and state organizations such as Landmarks Association of St. Louis, Missouri Preservation, Community Builder’s Network, and the City of St. Louis.
Our properties are primarily located in Gravois Park near Cherokee and Jefferson and range in size and style. Spaces include an eclectic mix of artist studios, retail storefronts, office spaces, and affordable, high-quality residential apartments and homes, among others. We encourage and give preference to small, independently-owned establishments in order to contribute to the revitalization of our neighborhoods. Our tenants include artists, civic leaders, creative thinkers, risk-takers, makers, community builders, as well as retail, restaurant, and service-oriented businesses.
