PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
An architectural landmark on the verge of being lost, Baden Bank was built in 1926 in Romanesque design. The building retains many of its original features, including vaulted ceilings, terrazzo floors, ornate carpentry, and bank vaults. This property came up for sale at a St. Louis City Tax Sale in July 2017. After receiving no bids on days 1 or 2, the possibility of the property not being sold, falling into LRA’s inventory, and thereby facing a real threat of demolition, became a strong possibility. In an effort to save the building, South Side Spaces secured the property.
